Maidaid dishwasher error codes
Appliances are equipped with a self-diagnosis system that can detect and signal a series of problems. Your manufacturer's installation and user guide will list every error code, but a range of error codes are highlighted below:
Maidaid dishwasher error 02
This code will display when the water won’t drain or drains abnormally. Reasons may be issues with the overflow, a damaged or obstructed drain hose, or a clogged siphon or filter. After checking all of these components another drain cycle should be attempted.
Maidaid dishwasher error 09
This indicates that the boiler hasn’t filled and the boiler loading has timed out, making it impossible to perform a rinse. The water tap will need to be checked to make sure that it’s open before a new complete cycle is run.
Maidaid dishwasher error 21
If your display is showing this error code it’s related to a boiler-rinse time-out which means that there may be an issue with the rinse pump, the rinse nozzles, or the boiler pressure switch system.
Maidaid dishwasher troubleshooting
The most common dishwasher faults are identified here:
Dishwasher not starting
Often an electrical issue this could be problems with the power supply, a blown fuse, or a defective power socket. Any electrical concerns should be safely dealt with by a qualified electrical engineer.
The dishwasher door may also be the culprit. If the latch won’t close securely this will prevent the appliance from starting. Another component to check is the motor which may be stuck. Spinning the motor by hand with the appliance turned off at the power will ensure that it can move freely.
Dishwasher leaking
This is often related to the door not closing securely with the door gasket being cracked or damaged in some way. Food debris can also stop the door from sealing completely. The gasket may need to be replaced.
The mechanism that indicates the level of the water in the dishwasher is known as the float switch. If this becomes permanently stuck down it can result in the dishwasher overfilling and leaking onto the floor. If this is the case a thorough clean may do the job – otherwise, the switch may need to be repaired or replaced.
Dishwasher not drying
This is typically caused by a defective heating element or the high-lit thermostat that stops the dishwasher from getting too hot. A malfunctioning high-limit thermostat can cause the heat to be shut off before your tableware is completely dry.
A multimeter can be used to check the device and if working correctly you should take a look at the rinse aid dispenser. If this is empty or not dispensing properly this can also cause the dishes to remain wet.
