London Winter Events: Southbank Centre Winter Festival

The Winter Festival at the Southbank Centre takes place from Friday 11 November to Wednesday 25 January 2017. Make sure you don’t miss any of the great free entertainment and events by reading the following article and booking your ticket!

Bianco’s Promenade Show

The UK’s leading circus company No Fit State brings this big top show to the Southbank Centre from Wednesday 23rd November. It takes place above and all around a standing audience – so you need to be prepared to be on your feet throughout the performance! The all-consuming theatrical experience is set to a dramatic soundtrack and narrative performed by a live band. The skills are extremely elegant and revolutionary. You’ll be entranced by this live contemporary circus presentation that lasts for two hours, and blends sensational circus and physical theatre with poetic imagery and explosive glamour.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas

From Saturday 17 December to Monday 2 January 2017 you’ll be able to enjoy a musical extravaganza featuring the music of superstars Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. The Million Dollar Quartet Tour is inspired by the famous recording session that bought all these rock ‘n’ roll icons together for the one and only time. The Million Dollar Quartet brings to life that legendary night on December 4 1956 when these musicians met at Sun Records in Memphis to take part in one of the greatest jam sessions of all times.

This unforgettable night of rock history included the hits Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, That’s All Right, Sixteen Tons, Walk the Line, Great Balls of Fire, and so many more! You can discover the true story right here in this smash hit musical that has taken Las Vegas and Broadway by storm.
